The Friends of the Hawaiʻi Kai Public Library is a 501(c)(3) organization. All monies raised go to support the programs and needs of the Hawai‘i Kai Public Library as determined by the library director and the library staff. In the past, funds raised by the Friends have been used to pay for

• books and DVDs for the general collection
• a movie projector and snacks for the Wednesday afternoon movie showings
• books and incentives for the Summer Reading Program
• newspaper and magazine subscriptions
• special staff development opportunities
• performances and workshops for the community

The Friends welcome your support in the form of monetary donations and donations to our bookstore. We also benefit when you designate us to receive funds through the AmazonSmile program.
